Hybrid work solutions provider IWG has signed an agreement with Mapfre to manage the largest flexible work centre in Spain, located in the building occupied by the Moda Shopping mall. The new space is scheduled to open in 2025.
The agreement involves the management of a 12,480 square metre building, located between Paseo de la Castellana and Avenida del General Perón, opposite the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, and will be fully refurbished by Mapfre to adapt to the needs of hybrid workers.
The new space will operate under the Spaces brand, under the name of Spaces Bernabéu, and will be the most modern centre in terms of design and technology. It will offer a gross floor area of 10,000 square metres of flexible office space, plus 1,406 square metres of commercial premises for internal and external use by the centre's users, mainly catering, reprographics, gym and wellness space, as well as an assembly hall. IWG members will be able to access all locations and business services through the group's app.
Spaces Bernabéu will be able to accommodate 180 offices, with more than 900 workstations, and will offer flexible workspace to established companies and start-ups from a variety of sectors. In addition, IWG's "Design Your Own Office" service will allow companies to customise the space to their specific needs.
Growing demand from companies of all sizes and workers seeking hybrid work solutions means that IWG will add 1,000 new locations worldwide over the next year. This hybrid model offers companies significant cost savings, with an average saving of 11,000 euros per employee in this format.
