Malaga, the renowned capital of the Costa del Sol and an emblematic cosmopolitan enclave in southern Spain, continues its upward trajectory as a centre of attraction for international corporations and professionals. In response to this dynamism and the emerging demand for flexible working arrangements, IWG, operator of leading brands such as Spaces, Signature and HQ, has confirmed its next opening: a new Regus centre in Malaga, scheduled for the last quarter of the year with 810 square metres.
This new addition to Malaga's Tech Park, located specifically at Calle Severo Ochoa, 41, is backed by IWG's strong performance, which has recorded high revenues in the first half of 2023 and has expanded its global network with 400 new locations in just six months. In addition, in the face of growing demand, the firm plans to add 1,000 locations in the next year.
The new flexible workspace joins IWG's existing offering in the city. The group already owns a Regus establishment in Plaza de La Solidaridad, which has seen a 48% increase in visits between April and July this year, highlighting Malaga as a key location for the "workation" concept.
IWG has expanded its global network with 400 new locations in just six months.
Various studies anticipate that, in the next decade, around 30% of all commercial space will be dedicated to flexible work solutions. In line with this trend, IWG offers its partners an opportunity in this growing market.
In the preparation of the new centre, the owners opted for IWG's platform to boost the profitability of their property, taking advantage of the growing demand for hybrid working models. IWG, which invests around 60 million euros annually in technology, provides its partners with a wide range of benefits and accumulated experience.
The centre will provide an enabling environment for both established companies and start-ups from different sectors. IWG's "Design Your Own Office" service will allow for complete customisation to the specificities of each company. With 3,500 locations in more than 120 countries, IWG members can access all centres and services through its app.
In line with its expansion strategy, IWG has also expressed its interest in strengthening its presence in the Spanish market, recently announcing the opening of new flexible office centres in Santander, Mallorca and Madrid.
