Generali Real Estate, a subsidiary of Generali Investments, has signed a lease agreement with international consultancy EY for the Orense 2 building in Madrid, owned by Generali España and managed by Generali Real Estate. This office building, which has approximately 13,500 square metres distributed over 11 floors, is currently under renovation under the direction of Estudio Lamela Arquitectos. The renovation focuses on sustainability and energy efficiency, expecting to achieve more than 30% energy savings and a 40% reduction in water consumption compared to similar buildings, and is in the process of obtaining LEED certification.
EY plans to adapt its current working model towards a more dynamic and unique approach, integrating its headquarters in Torre Azca with Orense 2 through a pedestrian space, which will form the new EY Campus in Madrid. Located in one of the most dynamic business districts in the centre of Madrid, Orense 2 will benefit from transport links and a wide range of services, being a key element in EY's new workspace model.
In addition, the lease agreement includes environmental clauses that seek to optimise energy consumption, reduce CO2 emissions and encourage the use of renewable energies, reflecting the commitment of both parties to sustainability.
