EY Portugal has moved to the Alcântara Lisbon Offices (ALLO) building in Lisbon. EY's new office has an area of around 8,500 square meters, spread over four floors, making it possible to accommodate the consultancy's 2,000 employees.
With environmental sustainability, innovation, technology and efficiency of space marking the basic concept of the building, the interior design project has at its core “Lisbon, Urban Vibe, Progressive”, positioning itself as an “office of the future”.
"EY has been growing consistently and this move represents a strategic step that reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation, sustainability and improving the working environment for our employees. The new headquarters will offer modern facilities, equipped with the latest technology and spaces designed to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing," said Miguel Farinha, Country Managing Partner of EY Portugal, Angola and Mozambique.
It should be recalled that ALLO - Alcântara Lisbon Offices, was promoted by Bedrock Capital Partners to a Portuguese family office, representing an investment of 125 million euros. It comprises a gross above-ground construction area of around 39,000 square metres, divided between two office buildings with similar characteristics, each with seven floors above ground.
On EY's new home, floors 0, 1 and 2 house collaborative and versatile work areas, more formal rooms, concentration spaces and social areas. Floor 4 is the space dedicated to clients, with reception areas, spaces for formal work situations such as meetings, spaces for workshops with clients and dining areas.
Visitors to ALLO can make use of common infrastructures, not just for EY but for both buildings, including a multipurpose room for cocktails, meetings, yoga, etc, changing rooms, parking with electric chargers and spaces for "light mobility" vehicles such as bicycles and scooters, as well as a restaurant with a terrace in the central square and a rooftop (in this case, for the exclusive use of each building). The amenities available to users of the buildings include concierge services and an interactive app that aims to foster connections between and with users, boosting networking.
The firm desire to increase the levels of comfort, experience and well-being of our employees, combined with the modernity and sustainability of the building, as well as the characteristics of the location, were just some of the reasons that motivated EY to choose ALLO as its new home, adds Miguel Farinha.
One of EY's neighbours will be Galp, a company that will occupy an area of around 20,000 square metres. The value of the square metre of the building it will occupy in ALLO is around €20/sqm/month, which means that the company will be paying a rent of around five million euros a year, the equivalent of around 415 thousand euros a month.
