The Aticco business group has announced the opening of a new coworking space in Barcelona, located in the Eixample district. Under the name Aticco Monumental, the establishment is scheduled to start operations in November 2024.
This new building, with a total surface area of 4,716 square metres, will feature various facilities such as a canteen, gym, events room, three terraces, and a rooftop terrace with views of the Sagrada Familia. In addition, the space will include shared work areas, corporate spaces, private offices, training rooms and rest areas. It will also offer a car park with spaces for electric cars and areas for bicycles and scooters.
Salvador Aguilar, Head of Flex Office in Spain at CBRE, the consultancy firm that advised on the deal, said, "This deal confirms the great interest that the flex market is generating in Barcelona. In the first quarter of the year, contracting in the city has increased by 8% compared to the same period last year and we expect this positive trend to continue in the coming months".
In line with global trends towards sustainability, Aticco Monumental has obtained LEED certification, which validates its focus on energy efficiency, the use of alternative energies, the improvement of indoor environmental quality, water efficiency, and the sustainable development of open spaces and the selection of materials.
