Aticco, the Spanish flexible workspace operator, has acquired Nimbler Spaces, a coworking operator in Lisbon. The deal adds two centres in the city’s central business district (CBD), with a combined 7,948 sqm and 99% occupancy. Both will operate under the Aticco brand.

Aticco Marquês is at Avenida Duque de Loulé 110, a few minutes from Avenida da Liberdade, and was refurbished in 2023. Aticco Picoas, at Avenida Fontes Pereira de Melo 32, was fully refurbished in 2024. The company is also refurbishing a 7,783 sqm building at Avenida da República 26, in Saldanha, which will open as Aticco República in the second quarter of 2027. Once it opens, Aticco will operate 15,691 sqm in Lisbon.

According to Aticco, the acquisition allows it to grow immediately in Portugal, increasing its operating capacity and client base without the usual lead times for launching new spaces. “Portugal is a strategic market for Aticco and this acquisition is a decisive step in our international expansion. It is an opportunity to gain scale from day one”, noted Gabriel Espin, co-founder and CEO of Aticco.

“Today, with our centres practically full, it is the right time to hand over to an operator with Aticco’s scale and experience”, explained Miguel Gomes, co-founder and CEO of Nimbler Spaces.

With Nimbler and the opening of Aticco República, the company will have 16 centres in Barcelona, Madrid and Lisbon, with 87,500 sqm under management. Aticco closed 2025 with revenue of €16 million, up 23% year-on-year. It expects to reach around €25 million in 2026, up 56%, with EBITDA of €4 million, and aims to double EBITDA to €8 million next year, depending on the pace of upcoming openings.

Management agreements, under which building owners share in the coworking’s returns and Aticco avoids long-term leases, have risen from 23% to 53% of the space it operates. The company has also set up an investment vehicle with All Out Capital Partners to acquire office buildings to operate as coworking spaces.

Aticco is working on new openings in Madrid and Valencia, and is looking for office building owners in Spain and Portugal’s main economic centres, including Porto, Barcelona, Málaga, Seville, Palma, Zaragoza, Alicante and Bilbao.
