Benavente Logistic Park has a new tenant, the transport and logistics company Torrestir, which will occupy a total area of 43,500 square metres.
An asset of Invesco Real Estate and Magna General Contractors, the Benavente Logistic Park will cover more than 90,000 square metres and will be developed in several construction phases, in an urban redevelopment area in the municipality of Benavente, with the main aim of boosting the region's economy, taking advantage of its geographical location and existing accessibility.
Torrestir will occupy one of the warehouses that have already been completed, joining CTT as the first occupants of this tourist complex.
Luís Torres, CEO of Torrestir, explained in a statement that "we decided to concentrate our operations in this modern Logistics Park, located in Benavente, which is in an area with excellent access. This property is strategic for us and will meet our customers' highest demands in terms of service quality. With this move we have also been able to optimise our systems and we believe we have made the right choice in order to continue providing an activity of excellence."
This placement was the responsibility of Cushman & Wakefield. Sérgio Nunes, director of the consultancy's Industrial department, expressed his vision of this new occupation: "we believe that this new position for Torrestir will meet the greater demands of occupiers, who are increasingly looking for certified warehouses, with greater volume and strategically well-located".
