Starwood buys a logistics platform from Meridia III for €24M

Meridia III has transferred a logistics warehouse that it owned in Alcalá de Henares, in one of the most demanded areas of the Madrid logistics market. The asset, with 26,400 square meters, has been sold for 24 million euros, a price significantly higher than the 15.5 million Meridia III paid for it at the end of 2018.

Meridia III is the third investment fund raised by the manager led by Xavier Faus and Juan Barba. With a listed investment vehicle structure (Socimi), it has an investment capacity of 400 million euros.

Its assets include both logistics assets and the recently transferred one, such as office buildings and commercial spaces.

In its latest results presented to the stock market regulator, Meridia III obtained half-year income of 6.4 million euros, with a net profit of 28.7 million, compared to the 6.5 million achieved in the first six months of 2021.

After beginning the divestments in Meridia III and the start-up of Merdia IV, the manager Meridia Capital is preparing the launch of Meridia V for the second half of 2022. The new fund will specialize in social facilities such as hospitals, schools or third-party residences. age. They will allocate a maximum of 500 million euros.
