Scannell Properties has leased Logistic Park Manises to logistics operator Dachser. The project, built at risk, occupies a plot of 26,065 square metres and Dachser is expected to start operations shortly.
The platform is located in the La Cova industrial estate, five kilometres from Valencia airport, 16 km from the city centre and 24 km from the port, close to the A-3 and A-7 motorways, providing good access to different parts of the country.
The development includes a 19,284 square metre warehouse with 20 loading bays, ancillary offices, outbuildings and a large area for heavy vehicle manoeuvring. This Scannell Properties project stands out for its sustainability, having obtained BREEAM Very Good certification and is equipped with a building management system (BMS) and LED lights for efficient control of energy consumption. Furthermore, it is a brownfield project, reusing materials from pre-existing buildings for new construction.
Celestino Silva, managing director European logistics for Dachser in Iberia, emphasises that the new platform improves the company's operations in the Valencian Community, increasing storage capacity and allowing a better response to customer needs. Silva also emphasised Dachser's commitment to sustainability in both construction and technology.
Javier Inchauspe, general manager of Scannell Properties in Spain, underlined that Logistic Park Manises is an example of the company's commitment to the development of sustainable and high quality logistics centres. The demand for logistics space in the region reinforces Scannell Properties' position to develop this type of asset quickly.
The space was marketed by TPF, with over 25 years of experience in the national logistics market. ASPOR Engineering was involved in the design, monitoring and technical advice to Dachser, while Cubic Beg was the responsible construction company.
