Stanley Black & Decker Ibérica (SBD Group), a company specialising in the manufacture and distribution of DIY and gardening products, has sold its facilities in Alcalá de Henares, in the Community of Madrid, to Máquinas Opein, a company dedicated to the rental of machinery and tools, according to the real estate consultancy Colliers, which advised the selling party on the transaction.
Specifically, the transacted asset has a total surface area of 11,533 square metres and is divided into two plots of 5,753 sqm and 5,780 sqm, respectively.
Its frontage on Avenida de Madrid connects directly with the M-300 road. It is also very close to the M-203, which provides access to the A-2 (Madrid-Barcelona).
On the other hand, Colliers has advised Stanley Engineered Fastening, a subsidiary of Black & Decker Ibérica, in the leasing of its new headquarters in the region. The company will move to the town of San Fernando de Henares.
Juan Ramón Ramírez, associate director of Industrial & Logistics at Colliers, said that "this is a strategic change for the Stanley Black & Decker group, which, with this move, is committed to efficiency in its facilities in Spain and a more modern and sustainable concept".
