«The signing of this agreement with Paack validates our strategy of repositioning this logistics asset, which has undergone a profound reconversion, comments João Tenreiro Gonçalves, partner at Bedrock Capital Partners.
Extending over a total area of 20,000 sqm, the Adarse Logistics Park in Alverca is owned by Bedrock Capital Partners through Ecologis, a joint venture with the Europi Property Group. At this stage, areas of between 4,000 and 12,000 sqm are still available for sale.
The asset recently underwent extensive refurbishment work, making it one of the first logistics projects in Portugal to achieve the Very Good level of BREAM-In-Use certification. Thus, and in line with Ecologis' strategy focused on sustainability, the development was fitted with photovoltaic panels on the roof, in an investment made in partnership with Greenvolt Comunidades. The aim of installing the panels is to create an energy community that will allow the occupants of the development and the surrounding communities to benefit from the consumption of renewable energy at competitive prices. According to Bedrock, "this initiative was a determining factor in Paack's decision to increasingly electrify its fleet". This logistics center, which began operating in May, has obtained the BREEAM Certificate, a European standard that certifies the environmental sustainability of the warehouse. And at Paack, we are committed not only to offering the best delivery experience, but also to respecting the environment," comments Ramon Crivellaro, Paack's Operations Area Manager.
