The industrial and logistics platform of the KKR fund for Europe has acquired five logistics assets in Spain with a total area of 53,000 sqm. The five transactions, located in Madrid and Barcelona, are turnkey projects and follow the strategy of gradually increasing the company's logistics portfolio in the domestic market.
Mirastar has acquired, on the one hand, three last-mile logistics assets located in the metropolitan areas of Barcelona and Madrid. The investments consist of an unoccupied logistics asset of 8,000 sqm in Coslada, in the first ring road of Madrid, a logistics asset of 3,000 sqm rented in La Maquinista and a rented asset of 10,000 sqm in Castellar del Vallès, both located in the outskirts of Barcelona.
In addition, Mirastar has acquired two turnkey projects in Valls and Constantí, in the province of Tarragona, with a total area of 32,000 sqm. The company expects both projects to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2023 by developers Onilsa (Constanti) and Carbonell Figueras (Valls).
“Mirastar will continue our significant investment program in Spain focusing on key submarkets and on owning and developing assets with strong ESG credentials,” said Amos Chia, Chief Investment Officer at Mirastar.
