Merlin Properties has leased Cabanillas Park I Nave A, an advanced 38,054 square metre logistics platform located in the Corredor del Henares, to Taisa Logistics, a logistics operator belonging to the Mahou San Miguel Group. This platform, which has LEED Gold sustainability certification, is located in the SI 20 industrial estate in Cabanillas del Campo (Guadalajara).
The area is known for being a consolidated environment with little availability, where leading companies such as Luis Simöes, DSV, GXO and Inditex have established their operations thanks to its strategic position and easy access to the main roads and connections.
It is worth noting that this is the largest deal in the region since the beginning of the year. In addition, Savills, who advised Merlin Properties in the process, is also marketing the second phase of the same firm's project, Cabanillas Park II, which extends over a 320,000 square metre site and has the potential to develop up to 210,500 square metres of built-up space.
Aitor Álvarez, Director of Industrial-Logistics at Savills in Madrid, points out that "this operation confirms the good performance of market activity and consolidates the strategic positioning of Cabanillas for the development of Big Box logistics".
