Logicor is expanding its logistics offer in Azambuja with the extension of a warehouse by around 10,000 sqm, increasing the existing area from 75,000 sqm to 85,000 sqm. This expansion will include around 800 sqm of office space and social areas, 16 loading and unloading bays, and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2024.
Located in one of the main logistics parks in Greater Lisbon, the expansion of the warehouse aims to achieve BREEAM Very Good certification and will include a 105kW photovoltaic plant as a measure to reduce environmental impact.
In Portugal, Logicor owns and manages a portfolio of more than 900,000 sqm of real estate assets in the country's main centres, including Lisbon and Porto, and is continuing its expansion in strategic locations, such as the main transport hubs and population centres. The company recently completed the construction of a new 30,000 sqm logistics centre in Ermida, Santo Tirso.
"The expansion in the Azambuja region is part of our growth strategy," says André Machado, Director of Asset Management at Logicor Portugal. "Logicor is expanding its presence in strategic locations across the country, developing new logistics spaces but also remodelling existing assets. Our aim is to offer our clients modern, sustainable properties that contribute to the growth of their business, delivering goods to the main urban centres," he adds.
