The investment management company LaSalle Investment has acquired from Scannell Properties a logistics warehouse located in Santa Perpetua de Mogoda (Barcelona), in the first ring of the Catalan capital, for 35 million euros, according to Expansión.
La Salle has acquired the first asset developed by the US company in Spain, in which it invested 25 million euros to build the 21,000 square metre property. In June 2021, Scannell Properties acquired a 41,500 square metre plot of land in the municipality in the Barcelona metropolitan area from a local family office with the aim of building a 21,000 square metre logistics warehouse.
The warehouse, which has been occupied by the French group Daher since the second quarter of 2022, is located fifteen kilometres from Barcelona and 25 kilometres from the port, which is a very attractive location considering the limited logistics availability in the area surrounding the Catalan capital.
Since its entry into the national market, Scannell Properties has been deploying a strategy of capillary growth, buying land in different parts of the national geography. Its latest operation dates back to last November, when the real estate company announced the development of a 19,171 square metre logistics platform in the La Cova industrial estate in Manises (Valencia).
