KKR Real Estate's industrial and logistics platform in Europe, Mirastar, has acquired a new logistics asset in Sant Esteve (Barcelona). The space has a total area of 9,098 square meters and was owned by a private investor.
The asset adds to the brand's current portfolio of six investments, made up of a combination of already built assets and turnkey projects. The transaction has been advised by CBRE on the commercial side, by Garrigues on the legal side, by Savills Aguirre Newman on the technical side, and Nova Ambiente on the environmental side.
“This acquisition strengthens our position in the key sub-market of Barcelona. Mirastar will continue its ambitious investment program in Spain focused on ensuring a solid pipeline of both investment and development opportunities”, commented Alfonso Cuesta, Country Manager of Mirastar for the Iberian market.
"This transaction is part of the latest wave of successful acquisitions in Spain that we intend to continue as our logistics portfolio grows throughout Europe," adds Diederik Schol, Principal EMEA Real Estate at KKR.
KKR's portfolio includes three other last-mile logistics assets that the brand bought last March. The first is located in Coslada (first crown of Madrid) and has 8,000 square meters, the initial plan was to carry out a reform after the purchase. The second is another asset of 3,000 square meters in La Maquinista (first crown of Barcelona) and the last, another of 10,000 square meters in Castellar del Vallés (second crown of Barcelona).
