Hinojosa Packaging Group, a company specialising in the design and manufacture of sustainable packaging solutions, has rented a logistics centre of more than 3,300 square metres in the city of Vigo, in the province of Pontevedra.
The company's plant in Vigo adds a facility that will improve, with new functionalities, the service offered to its customers, its agility and versatility.
The new Hinojosa Vigo Logistics Centre will support the Hinojosa Packaging Vigo plant and its current 80 workers, who are expected to be joined by more from the beginning of 2025 with the start-up of the facilities. A coil slitting machine will be installed in the hall.
After the arrival of the new slitter on site in November, the employees will undergo a training period. Part of this training will take place at the group's plant in Valladolid, where there is machinery of this type.
In addition to the cutting of reels, the more than 3,300 square metres of the warehouse will act as a logistics warehouse for both reels and sheets of cardboard and corrugated cardboard boxes. Both are functionalities that Hinojosa Packaging Vigo did not have until now.
