BentallGreenOak (BGO) has started the commercialization of three new large-scale logistics projects in Madrid, Barcelona and Bilbao, which add up to more than 130,000 sqm of new surface.
The Madrid project is located on a plot of almost 100,000 sqm in Alcalá de Henares, previously occupied by Avon Laboratories, next to Amazon and the La Dehesa retail park. It is a logistics warehouse of 54,480 sqm that can be divided into up to ten modules. It will be delivered in early 2023.
In Barcelona, BentallGreenOak will launch a 40,000 sqm logistics warehouse in the second ring, where the demand for large warehouses is growing and the current availability of large surfaces is minimal. The project, located in the surroundings of Villafranca del Penedés, derives from a regeneration process of an obsolete asset, which will add value to the surroundings and the municipality to which it belongs, in a strategic location due to its ease of access and visibility from the AP- 7, in a commitment to sustainability in a region with a great winemaking tradition, with large corporations in the automotive and cardboard sectors.
The consultants Savills Aguirre Newman and CBRE are in charge of marketing these first two projects. But, in addition, BGO has begun the commercialization of a project in Bilbao, located in Galdácano, which will have two warehouses of more than 17,000 sqm, one of them single-tenant and the other divisible for three tenants. Just 11 km from Bilbao, this platform adds office space to the area dedicated to storage in a state-of-the-art project with a surface area of 36,800 m2.
According to the company, the three projects will have Leed or Breeam sustainability certification, fulfilling its purpose of applying sustainability criteria to its entire portfolio.
