Ecologis, the joint venture between Bedrock Capital Partners and Europi Property Group, has acquired a logistics warehouse of around 7,000 square metres from Mizrahi Investments Portugal.
Located in Leça do Balio, in the municipality of Matosinhos, the warehouse has excellent access to the city of Porto. It is currently leased to a multinational in the medical products production and distribution sector. This operation, which ensures Ecologis' expansion into the northern region, was advised by Savills/Predibisa.
Isabel Rocha Associate Offices and Investment at Savills/Predibisa, who was responsible for managing the entire process, says that "we successfully advised on this transaction, also reinforcing Ecologis' activity in the logistics area in Portugal, following the entire process with each of the parties involved in the sale of this investment asset". For João Tenreiro Gonçalves, a partner at Bedrock Capital Partners, "this transaction, which increases Ecologis' portfolio to 160,000 sqm of high-quality logistics assets in Portugal, gives us particular satisfaction as it represents the platform's geographical expansion to the north of the country".
At the end of last year, Bedrock Capital Partners and Europi Property Group acquired a logistics portfolio with the purchase from Santander Asset Management of a set of assets totalling 24,000 sqm.
