Aldi will invest in the construction of a new distribution center in the north of the country, more specifically in the future industrial park of Quinta Chinesa, in Santo Tirso. The investment is around 50 million euros.
This new retail space for the German supermarket chain will have a construction area of approximately 40,000 square meters, around 80 loading/unloading docks for trucks and 200 parking spaces, according to a statement quoted by Distribuição Hoje.
It should be remembered that Aldi recently opened the largest distribution center in the country, in Moita: «like the recently opened center, the future Center will allow for a faster and more efficient supply of ALDI stores, thus enhancing the availability of its products in all current and future stores in the north of the country. The completion of its work is scheduled for the second half of 2024», highlights the company in a statement.
