Largest socimis secure fresh funding in March

Socimi activity continued apace in March, a month during which two of the four biggest Spanish socimis guaranteed new financing, namely Lar España and Axiare.

According to a recent study by Aura, following on from their record profit figures in 2016, Lar España signed two financing agreements with ING and BBVA, amounting to €104 million. For their part, a Axiare managed to raise €93 million through an accelerated capital increase.

In March it can also be noted that Albarina, which specialises in the rental home sector, debuted on the MAB on 22 March at €33.60, a price that values the company at €168 million. RKS’s new Socimi, specialising in residential assets located in peripheral areas, prepared for its debut on the MAB, and BMB joined forces with Blue Mountain to create a new Socimi, which may debut on the MAB in April.
