Yurbban Hospitality Group has completed the acquisition of the Allegro Barcelona hotel, which will be transformed into UMA House Granados. It will be the brand’s second hotel in the Catalan capital, alongside UMA House Trafalgar. The deal was signed on 30 September through a club deal investment structure.

The hotel will keep its 56 rooms and three-star category. It closed on 5 October for a full refurbishment and is due to reopen between February and March 2027. The interior design will be led by Raquel Sogorb of Monplet Studio, who previously worked with the group on the Yurbban Passage Hotel & Spa in Barcelona.

According to the group, the hotel’s location on Enric Granados street, one of the city’s main dining areas, will be central to its identity. The hotel will have its own food and beverage offer, details of which will be announced later.

The acquisition is part of the repositioning of the UMA brand under the “Journey Curators” concept. This targets travellers interested in discovering local culture and cuisine through experiences and partnerships with creators from different disciplines. UMA operates UMA House hotels in Barcelona and Miami Beach, as well as UMA Suites apartments in Barcelona, Madrid and Bogotá.
