Unico Hotels has exercised in advance its option to repurchase the building of its emblematic luxury hotel in Madrid's Barrio de Salamanca.
The operation has been carried out within the framework of the financial terms agreed when the sale of the same asset was carried out in the first quarter of 2021.
The sellers have been a group of investors, who have gone hand in hand with the A&G group, while EY has acted as advisor to the buyer.
In this way, Único Hotels reaffirms its heritage vocation in the assets it operates in Madrid, Barcelona, Mallorca and Costa Brava. The firm currently has the Grand Hotel Central Barcelona, a five-star boutique hotel with 147 rooms with one of the most acclaimed infinity pools, and located in the historic center of Barcelona; The Principal Madrid, the first luxury hotel on Madrid's mythical Gran Vía, which houses the Ático restaurant, by Ramón Freixa; Mas de Torrent, on the Costa Brava, an 18th-century farmhouse converted into a modern luxury hotel with 39 suites; and Finca Serena, in Mallorca, a property surrounded by more than 40 hectares, with olive, lavender, lemon, orange and vineyard trees.
