The price of the operation could exceed 80 million euros, according to El Confidencial.
The complex has 72 rooms, so its owners, headed by CEO Joaquín Ausejo, value each of the rooms at more than one million euros. It is not the first tourism asset that is paid at this price. The Mexican company specializing in hotel management, RLH Properties, acquired the 111-room Bless Collection Madrid for 115 million euros.
Its current owners bought this asset, in 2015, from Banco Sabadell and Cataluña Banc, after paying a debt of 60 million euros to the former Banco Popular. The purchase also included the Hotel Alma Pamplona and the management company.
The construction of the building dates from the beginning of the 20th century. It has an interior garden designed in 1860, one of the few preserved in the Eixample district. The complex is located very close to Paseo de Gracia and has five different types of rooms.
