Stay U-nique has signed an agreement with Accor Hotels to take over the management of the future ibis Styles hotel in Puerto de la Cruz, Canary Islands. This deal marks the start of Stay U-nique’s operations in the Canary Islands and its debut in managing hotels linked to international brands under a franchise model. Legal advice on the transaction was provided by the law firm Andersen.
The property, which is scheduled to open in 2027 following a refurbishment, will feature 101 rooms, a restaurant, a swimming pool, a gym and a car park.
Under the terms of the contract, Stay U-nique will operate the property, located 20 minutes from Tenerife North Airport, consolidating its expansion beyond its usual locations in Madrid, Barcelona, Málaga and Seville. This move comes as the management company evaluates new growth opportunities in the markets of Portugal, Italy and Greece.
The transaction required specific contractual structuring to adapt the standards of the international Accor brand, which has a network of 5,600 hotels, to the Spanish management company’s operating model.
Andersen Iberia currently has a team of over 714 professionals and offices in the main cities of Spain and Portugal.
