The Silken Hotels has announced the purchase of a four-star hotel in Antequera, in the province of Málaga. The former Hotel Antequera Hills will now operate under the name Silken Antequera Hills.
The transaction was advised by the international consultancy Christie & Co, which led the process exclusively through its investment team in Spain and Portugal.
The property, with a total of 186 rooms, is now part of the Silken Hotels portfolio, maintaining its four-star rating. It is a significant establishment in its local area, both due to its size and its ability to attract leisure tourism and events in inland Andalusia.
Until now, the hotel had been managed by GAT Hospitality, which is making way for a new chapter under the Silken brand.
“We are delighted to be back in Andalusia, adding a property that stands out for its focus on active tourism, its capacity to host events and its excellent location for exploring the Andalusian countryside”, noted Javier Villanueva Romero, Managing Director of Silken Hotels.
Antequera is a Unesco World Heritage Site thanks to its ancient dolmens. It is also a strategic geographical hub between Malaga, Seville, Cordoba and Granada.
