The Serra Moreno family's investment group has just acquired the Atenas hostel in Seville, strengthening its presence in the Andalusian capital after the purchase of the Hotel Londres last year. Salomon has committed 8.5 million euros to its landing in Seville, between the acquisition and the repositioning of the assets, according to EjePrime.
Hostal Atenas is a typical Sevillian house located in the centre of Seville, in the monumental and commercial area of the city, next to the Casa de Pilatos monument, just five minutes' walk from the Cathedral and the Giralda, very close to the Santa Cruz district and the Reales Alcázares. Salomon plans to reposition the asset and reopen its doors in the first quarter of 2024. The establishment will be managed by one of the operators with which the group usually works, such as Chic&Basic or Pulitzer.
Also in Seville, the family office also plans to reopen next April the Hotel Londres, which it bought last year from a private investor and which it has repositioned to convert it into a three-star hotel. With the acquisition of the Atenas hotel, Salomon now has ten hotel establishments in its portfolio, including those it owns and those it manages under a lease contract.
Another of Salomon's areas of interest in its hotel division is the Costa Brava. Last October, the Serra Moreno vehicle acquired the 24-room Hotel Llevant, located in the municipality of Llafranc, one of the epicentres of the area. With this acquisition, Salomon redoubled its commitment to the Costa Brava, an area where it has focused part of its major investments in recent years.
