Hoteles Poseidón has acquired Nuc Sun Resort, a holiday complex located in La Nucía, Alicante, which it will refurbish and reposition under the Poseidon La Nucía Life brand, marking its entry into a new line of aparthotels aimed at the lifestyle segment.
The property comprises 46 apartments spread across several blocks, totalling approximately 4,651.5 sqm of floor area, as well as a swimming pool, communal areas and leisure facilities. The units feature terraces and are designed for holiday use, catering for stays offering greater independence.
The transaction was advised exclusively by Concordia Real Estate on property and financial matters, while legal advice was provided by Ortiz & Borja Abogados. The value and seller of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Following the purchase, the chain will undertake a comprehensive refurbishment with the aim of adapting the complex to its new commercial offering, focused on travellers seeking greater flexibility and an experience linked to active tourism, nature and sport.
The resort’s location, close to Benidorm and natural areas such as Ponoig, Puig Campana, Sierra Cortina and Sierra Gelada, reinforces this positioning, as does its proximity to sports facilities, golf courses and Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport.
The project will incorporate sustainability and energy efficiency criteria in line with the operational standards of Hoteles Poseidón, which holds certifications such as ISO 14001 and the Bioscore label.
For Vicente Gil, managing partner at Concordia Real Estate, the transaction reflects the interest in holiday assets with repositioning potential in established tourist destinations. The consultancy has supported the entire process, from marketing and investor analysis through to negotiation and completion.
