A local investor has acquired a four-star hotel, with 110 rooms in the municipality of Roses, in the province of Girona, on the Costa Brava, with the aim of undertaking a comprehensive repositioning process.
The property, which will be renamed Hotel Bakour Costa Brava, will be managed by Checkin Hotel Groupunder its Bakour Hotels brand, marking the operator’s seventh opening in the Catalonia region.
The transaction, advised by Colliers, involves a property featuring all-outdoor guest rooms and spacious common areas dedicated to leisure and sports. Notable amenities within the complex include four dining venues, several outdoor pools, a heated indoor pool, a fitness centre and a kids’ club. The sports facilities are further complemented by tennis courts and a mini-golf area.
Laura Hernando, Managing Director of Hotels at Colliers, noted that this transaction reflects sustained interest in assets with value-creation potential in established tourist destinations along the Catalan coast. The modernization of the accommodation offering is expected to optimize the property’s operating results by capitalizing on both domestic and international demand.
