Ikos Resorts has purchased the Blau Porto Petro hotel, located on the island of Mallorca, next to the Porto Petro marina and the Mondragó Natural Park.
The company plans to turn it into the new "Ikos Porto Petro", after an estimated investment of 110 million euros. The new hotel will open its doors in April 2023 after undergoing a comprehensive refurbishment of its facilities, with the aim of becoming a five-star luxury resort.
This is its second acquisition in Spain, following the Marbella-Estepona Ikos Andalusia hotel. The company will continue to expand its Infinite Lifestyle offering, a concept that redefines the five-star all-inclusive luxury offer.
Ikos Porto Petro will house a total of 319 rooms, equipped with terraces and private pools on the seafront. The company plans to carry out an expansion of the hotel by 2024, which will include 115 new rooms, completing the resort's offering with a total of 434.
In addition, the hotel will feature Ikos Infinite Lifestyle services with a premium gastronomic offer that includes six restaurants with menus designed by Michelin stars, a wine list with more than 300, the Spa by Anne Semonin Paris and a sports area with more than 10.000 sqm.
Ikos Porto Petro will become the chain's seventh property in Europe and the second in Spain. The company currently has six luxury resorts, four of them located in Greece (Ikos Oceania and Ikos Olivia, in the Chalkidiki Peninsula; Ikos Dassia, in Corfu; and Ikos Aria, in Kos).
Ikos Iberia has confirmed that it will continue to work actively on its expansion plan in Spain and Portugal, where it studies different options to develop at least two more resorts in the next four years with an investment of 300 million euros.
