IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) has just announced the signing of new contracts with nine hotels in Portugal, adding 976 rooms to the country's pipeline, which continues to benefit from rapid growth.
The new contracts include two IHG brand collections, which include its luxury and lifestyle portfolio, with the announcement of Kimpton Lisboa, Hotel Indigo Albufeira and Hotel Indigo Faro, and its Essentials collection, which comprises six signature Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express brands.
Willemijn Geels, Vice President, Development, Europe, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: "It's wonderful to see Kimpton Lisbon, Hotel Indigo Faro and Hotel Indigo Albufeira adding to our presence in the luxury and lifestyle segment in Portugal, while we continue to grow our Essentials brands with a greater presence in the national territory. Two thirds of the 976 rooms announced today are part of our Holiday Inn family of brands, which confirms the confidence that owners continue to have in our brands".
Portugal continues to be a priority market for IHG and has seen enormous growth in recent years, including the debut of new brands.
