Coporgest has signed an agreement with Hyatt Hotels Corporation to bring the Park Hyatt brand to Comporta, in Setúbal district, marking the brand's debut in the Iberian market. The Comporta Beach Resort – Park Hyatt Comporta & Luxury Beach Residences will represent an investment of around €220 million and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2029.
The development will comprise a 58-room hotel, including two presidential suites with private pools, alongside 37 branded villas and 71 branded residences, all to be delivered fully furnished and managed under the Park Hyatt brand.
The resort will also include several food and beverage outlets, a spa with an indoor pool and treatment rooms, a fitness centre and underground parking designed to minimise surface traffic. The project will feature a desalination plant supplying seawater to all swimming pools.
Construction is currently progressing with excavation works and infrastructure nearing completion, while commercialisation is expected to continue ahead of the project's delivery in 2029.
The agreement further strengthens Hyatt's expansion in Portugal, where the US hotel group has been growing its luxury and lifestyle portfolio. Alongside the existing Hyatt Regency Lisbon, Hyatt Regency Vilamoura Algarve, Dreams Madeira Resort Spa & Marina and Massana Algarve, Destination by Hyatt, the company is also preparing the opening of the Andaz Lisbon and The Standard Lisbon, while recently announcing the future Park Hyatt Lisbon at the former Fidelidade headquarters in Chiado.
For Coporgest, the project represents one of its largest hospitality developments to date and further reinforces Comporta's position as one of Portugal's fastest-growing luxury resort destinations.
