Dorobe Hotels & Resorts has acquired the Hotel San Fermín, on the Costa del Sol, as part of its growth strategy in the holiday sector.
The purchase of the hotel located in Benalmádena, Málaga, with 316 rooms, forms part of Dorobe’s consolidation strategy within the Spanish hotel sector, focusing on assets such as this one, with the potential for repositioning into a higher-category segment and creating value in established holiday destinations.
The transaction marks a new phase of expansion for the chain, which envisages the acquisition of additional properties in strategic destinations along the Spanish coast, primarily on the Costa del Sol.
“Our aim is to build a solid, profitable hotel platform with the capacity for sustained growth. The acquisition of the Hotel San Fermín represents a very significant transaction for us and marks the start of a new phase of expansion through selective acquisitions in destinations where we see strong tourist demand and opportunities to develop and realise synergies”, said Oscar Bacardit, CEO of Dorobe.
The company is exploring various investment opportunities in holiday hotels. Its focus is on medium-sized and large properties that can benefit from the realisation of synergies at all levels and from a commercial positioning aligned with current demand.
