Amorim Luxury is set to open its first hotel in October, with the JNcQUOI House, located on Avenida da Liberdade, in Lisbon, representing a €25 million investment.
The neo-Moorish palace, originally built in 1886, once housed the Hotel Veneza. It was completely destroyed by fire in June 2024, just two weeks before the hotel’s initially scheduled opening. The incident subsequently increased the project’s investment from an estimated €10 million to €25 million.
According to Jornal de Negócios, JNcQUOI House will open with 16 suites, two kiosks, the Mirror Room bar and two restaurants, JNcQUOI Fish and JNcQUOI Table. Both restaurants will be overseen by chef Filipe Carvalho and will join Amorim Luxury’s existing JNcQUOI Avenida, JNcQUOI Asia and Frou Frou concepts.
The hotel’s interior architecture has been designed by Belgian architect Vincent Van Duysen, who has also worked on other Amorim Luxury projects, including developments in Comporta.
The opening marks another step in Amorim Luxury’s development of what it calls a “City Hub” – a concept bringing hospitality, fashion and membership together within the same urban area. On Avenida da Liberdade, the group already operates its JNcQUOI restaurants alongside Fashion Clinic, its luxury multi-brand fashion stores.
The group is also expanding beyond Lisbon. In Comporta, Amorim Luxury is preparing the JNcQUOI Club Comporta, a project combining residences, hospitality, gastronomy, wellness, sports and a private club.
The Comporta development forms part of the group’s wider luxury expansion strategy, extending the JNcQUOI ecosystem into high-demand international destinations and broadening its offer beyond the Avenida da Liberdade.
