The Aethos hotel group has secured financing of 100 million euros from a consortium of investors led by Limestone Capital. This investment will be used for the group's global expansion, with the opening of five new properties in the next two years, according to Jornal Económico.
With this guaranteed investment, Aethos is reinforcing its commitment to expansion in Portugal, Spain and Italy. In September 2022, the group opened Aethos Ericeira, on the west coast of Portugal.
In May this year, it plans to inaugurate a new five-star resort on the Costa Smeralda in Sardinia, Italy, with 60 accommodation units. Between this year and 2025, the group also plans to open new properties in Madrid, Lisbon, Rome and Mallorca.
"With this new funding and a robust executive team with distinguished backgrounds in the industry, we are not only reshaping the hotel landscape but also setting new standards for boutique hotels in Europe," says Aethos' CEO.
