The set of real estate companies listed on the old Alternative Stock Market (MAB) closed acquisitions worth 330.7 million euros in the first six months of the year, which is more than double the figure for the first half of 2021, when 148.65 million euros of investment were registered. In fact, the amount of the first half of the year is only thirty million below the investment of the socimis of BME Growth throughout 2021.
The figure is also higher than that of the first six months of 2020, marked by a record first quarter (307 million euros) and a second of inactivity due to confinement. The figure for the first half of 2022 is also above that of 2019, specifically 66% more.
Although the first half of 2022 has set an investment record, the quarterly records have been mixed. 77% of all the capital invested in the period, 254 million euros, have been disbursed in the first quarter of the year. The record for the second quarter is 23% higher than the investment captured in the same period of 2021, which closed with 62.1 million euros, but remains 36% below the amount of the second quarter of 2019, when BME Growth real estate companies allocated 118.9 million euros to the acquisition of new assets.

Taking into account the investment figure for the first half of the year, the projection at the end of the year would reach an amount greater than 660 million euros. If these expectations are fulfilled, the record for 2022 would almost double that of the previous year, although it would be far, some one hundred million below, the records for 2019, the best year in the series for the investment of BME Growth socimis, which closed with 762 million euros of investment.
