The Portuguese real estate sector recorded an annual total return of 6.8% in 2023, according to the MSCI Portugal Annual Property Index, compared to 8.0% in 2022. Among the European countries, Portugal presented some of the most positive figures, in line with the 2021 results.
The MSCI Portugal Annual Property Index includes 769 assets, from 39 portfolios, with a total capital value of 8.55Bn EUR at year-end 2023.
The event for the presentation of the results of the MSCI Portugal 2023 Annual Real Estate Index is organized with the support of Iberian Property and shall be held on the 16th of April (next Monday), between 9am and 11am, at the PLMJ Auditorium, in Lisbon.
During the event, Luís Francisco, Vice President & Client Coverage of Real Assets at EMEA in MSCI, will present the latest investment trends and performance of the Portuguese property market, analyse the evolution of the various sectors and their main drivers and explore some of the main trends in the global property markets in 2024.
For that purpose, Francisco Lino Dias, Partner at PLMJ, will moderate a roundtable discussion with Paulo Silva, Head Country of Savills Portugal, Pedro Seabra, Senior Partner at Refundos Explorer, Elizabeth Mathieu, Founder & Managing Director at Southcap, and António Gil Machado, Partner at Grupo Iberinmo.
