Last February, the investment raised through the granting of Golden Visas, or Residence Permit for Investment (ARI) totaled 42 million euros, 19% less than the 52.3 million registered in February last year, and less 12.5% than in the previous month.
In February, the purchase of real estate totaled 32.8 million euros, of which 14.3 million relate to urban rehabilitation. The transfer of capital amounted to 9.3 million euros.
In total, 94 visas were granted, the same number as in January, of which 69 through real estate investment, 41 for urban rehabilitation.
Last month, 21 visas were issued to US citizens, 13 from China, 7 from India, 7 from Brazil and 6 from Lebanon. 100 residence permits were also granted to reunited family members.
Since the beginning of the year, 90.1 million euros have been invested through the granting of ARIs, 5.5% more than in the same accumulated period in 2021.
According to SEF figures, since the program was launched in 2012, 6,190 million euros have already been raised, 5,579 of which through the purchase of real estate and 391 million through urban rehabilitation.
