In October, the value of property investment funds (FII), special property investment funds (FEII) and property asset management funds (FUNGEPI) under management stood at 10,688.18 million euros, down by 7.9 million (0.07%) on the previous month.
The CMVM figures show that the FII increased the amount invested by 0.6% to 8,057.5 million euros, whilst the FEII decreased the amount by 0.2% to 2,368.9 million euros. The FUNGEPI recorded a sharper drop in investment, by 18%, to €261.8 million.
As in previous months, the EU countries were the destination of all the investment made in real estate assets. 48.9% of the portfolio of open-end FIIs and FEIIs was invested in real estate in the services sector, as were the FUNGEPIs, which directed 48.2% of their investment to the services sector.
In October, Square AM (12.5%), Interfundos (10.5%), and Caixa Gestão de Ativos (8.6%) had the largest market shares, according to the CMVM, in a month in which the property investment company "Ilustre e Perfeito", managed by Norfin, and the special property investment company "ICG Value", managed by Imorendimento, were also created.
