The OECD increased in 0.9% its growth forecast for 2021 to 5.9% and 6.6% for 2022. The organisation has also requested all countries to avoid «a sudden withdrawal» of their incentives.
The organisation predicts Spain will be the first country in the world in terms of rate of vaccinated amongst its over 12 years old population. It is estimated that the rate of immunised will reach 88.9% in 2022, above China and France, with 87.5% and 87.2% respectively.
Nevertheless, despite the global GDP’s recovery to pre-pandemic numbers, recovery is unequal. The OECD also highlights the fact that the countries coming out of the pandemic face new challenges, such as the strain on value chains, which is causing inflationary pressure.
