Merlin Properties has been selected to be part of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index Europe (DJSI), the index for sustainability and governance in Europe.
This index is made up of the 146 companies that have stood out the most in the last year in these matters, among which are 16 Spanish companies. Merlin Properties is the only company in the Spanish real estate sector to be included in the index, along with nine other real estate companies from other European countries.
The inclusion of Merlin Properties in the DJSI index is an endorsement of the commitment that the company is making to implement measures to reduce the carbon footprint of its assets. Merlin Properties has improved its score in 2021 compared to 2020 in all the sustainability indices to which it has been submitted such as GRESB, Vigeo Eiris, Sustainalytics or Bloomberg.
