The European Public Real Estate Association (Epra) and Iberian Property will celebrate, for the fourth time in Madrid, the Iberian Reit & Listed Conference on March 28 at the Westin Palace hotel.
This is an in-depth debate aimed at the national and international investment community on the role of listed real estate companies and Socimis.
Among the speakers who have already confirmed their participation are Ismael Clemente, CEO of Merlin Properties; Miguel Pereda, Director of Lar España and Chairman of Grupo Lar; Pere Viñolas, CEO of Colonial; Borja Ortega, CEO of BNP Paribas Real Estate; and Pablo Serrano, Partner of Clifford Chance.
One of the main topics of debate will be what is the path to recovery after two years of the pandemic, paying special attention to which have been the winners and losers after the health crisis and what is the path to recovery for the different segments.
The real estate sector will also be analyzed as a green and sustainable investment. Real estate assets are suitable for investors concerned about sustainability, as the built environment represents one of the areas with the greatest potential for reducing carbon emissions. The conference will point out that urban rehabilitation plays a very important role in listed companies, as a key element to improve energy efficiency and improve the environment of cities.
A final panel discussion will showcase how listed companies offer investors state-of-the-art governance to invest in real estate, offering opportunities for long-term players.
