Less than one week for the new edition of the Meridiana Meetup – MIPIM, the Lisbon Region Meetup – MIPIM, organized by the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Lisbon City Council, the Iberinmo Group and Meridiana.
This event invites investors, real estate developers and other professionals from the sector to an announcement session for the 2024 edition of MIPIM, which this year is will be held from March 12 to 15 in Cannes, which is considered to be the world's biggest trade fair for cities.
On this occasion, the attractiveness of the Lisbon region as a promising destination for international investment will be discussed, attracting not only real estate investors, but also companies and businesses. The round table debate will invite renowned speakers, seeking to understand the new opportunities opening up for Lisbon in the international context as a gateway for investment in Portugal.
Diogo Moura, Lisbon City Council's Councillor for Urban Planning and Rehabilitation, will open the event. This will be followed by a panel on "Investing in the Future", which will look at Lisbon's MIPIM strategy for attracting investment to the region, with interventions from Joan Almeida, Lisbon City Council's Councillor for Urban Planning; Filipa Roseta, Lisbon City Council councillor for Housing, and Fernando Paulo Ferreira, president of Vila Franca de Xira City Council.
Lisbon's commitment to being a hub for attracting international investment and how to do this through MIPIM set the tone for the second panel discussion of the event. A debate moderated by António Gil Machado, director of the Iberinmo group, which invites Hugo Santos Ferreira, president of APPII, and Jorge Bota, Managing Director of B. Prime and president of ACAI.
The last panel of the day will focus on how MIPIM can be part of a internationalization strategy for Portuguese companies. Participants include Albert Castro, representative of MIPIM in the Iberian Peninsula and founder of Meridiana, and Diogo Ivo Cruz, from InvestLisboa. They will share their vision of how internationalization through MIPIM can be key to consolidating Lisbon as an investment center.
