The Swedish company Intrum has closed a purchase operation of a debt portfolio valued at 200 million euros from the entity Caja Rural de Aragón, according to Europa Press.
The so-called Cobbe project, promoted by the Zaragoza-based cooperative credit institution, has more than 4,000 files, most of them unsecured loans from individuals and companies.
With this purchase, Intrum has highlighted that it reinforces its position as a "reference partner" of financial institutions in Spain and "consolidates its leadership" in the credit and asset portfolio management market. The company has acquired only in 2022 portfolios for a nominal value of more than 6,000 million euros.
For its part, Caja Rural de Aragón, the first Aragonese cooperative credit entity, will improve its financial balance with this operation, leaving its delinquency ratio at 3.57%.
