The Spanish hospital group has bought a 7,000 square metre plot in the town of Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona) to build a new centre from 2025. To do so, it has a budget of fifty million euros, according to La Vanguardia.
This will be the fourth hospital owned by the group since it acquired the Delfos and Sant Jordi clinics and the Nens ("children" in Catalan) hospital centre, which focuses exclusively on paediatric services.
In total, HM has 21 hospitals in its portfolio in Spain, most of them concentrated in the province of Madrid (eight), followed by A Coruña and Málaga, with four in each of these regions, Barcelona, with three, and León, with two. In addition, there are 22 polyclinics, three centres specialising in cardiology, neurosciences and oncology, and three centres dedicated to oral, eye and sexual and reproductive health.
