His Majesty King Felipe VI received the Corporate Executive Committee of CBRE, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary in Spain, in an audience on 24 September. This firm, internationally recognised in the field of real estate consultancy and services, was the pioneer among international real estate consultancy firms to establish itself in Spain. Throughout these 50 years, CBRE has actively participated in the economic and social development of the country.
Adolfo Ramírez-Escudero, President in Spain and Latam of CBRE, highlighted the influence of the Crown in promoting a stable and secure environment, crucial for economic growth and social progress. In addition, Ramírez-Escudero underlined the importance of the real estate sector as a strategic ally in the face of Spain's economic, social and environmental challenges, emphasising its role in the creation of real estate solutions that promote well-being and the development of talent.
During the audience, CBRE's Corporate Executive Committee presented to His Majesty the 50&Beyond project, which includes 50 perspectives on the future of physical spaces and their impact on the well-being and prosperity of people, cities and the planet.
CBRE has played a key role in the evolution of the real estate sector in Spain, facilitating the implementation of both national and international corporate headquarters and advising on major real estate operations. The company has been an essential part of the transformation of important areas such as Azca in the 1980s, the extension of the Castellana in the 1990s, and innovative districts such as 22@ in Barcelona, as well as contributing to the regeneration of cities such as Malaga and Valencia.
In the last decade, CBRE has grown considerably in size, exceeding 2,000 people in Spain and expanding its presence with nine regional offices. The company has integrated leading firms such as Bovis and has led the introduction of new practices and services in the Spanish market, such as Agribusiness, Sports, Life Science or Data Centres, while promoting the development of talent aligned with its values of respect, integrity, service and excellence.
