The largest property investment event on the Iberian Peninsula is returning to the Hotel Palácio Estoril from 19 to 20 September. The 7th edition of the Portugal Real Estate Summit takes place in another year of great global uncertainty, but with the Portuguese economy recording positive figures in the first few months and justifying the interest of global investors.
The major international players will have a privileged opportunity to network and debate the main trends and best opportunities in the sector in the various regions, in a lively programme of conferences and parallel sessions.
The Portugal Real Estate Summit kicks off on 19 September at 2pm. António Gil Machado, Director of Grupo Iberinmo, and Roger M. Cooke, MBE FRICS, Conference Chairman, will kick off the conference at 2.45pm.
The effusive economic growth of the country will be highlighted. What are the prospects for the Portuguese economy and the property markets? This is the key question of the first session of the event, at 3pm, moderated by Roger Cooke, with the presence of António Ramalho, economist, former CEO NovoBanco, and the presentation "Sentiment of Foreign Investors in Portugal", by Ricardo Reis, from Deloitte.
At 4pm, the session "Portugal, the Place to Visit, Live and Enjoy!" will take place. Our country has consolidated its position as one of the main tourist destinations, but it is also a destination for permanent residents, with traditional and new ways of living, such as nomads in coliving, senior housing and for students.
The session includes a joint presentation by JLL and Savills (Tourism, Residential and Housing), a presentation of the city of Almada by the Mayor of Almada, followed by a round table discussion with investors, moderated by Roger Cooke, featuring John Calvão, Principal, Arrow Global, Jonatas Szkurnik, Senior Partner, Patron Capital Partners, Michael Bickford, CEO, Round Hill Capital Partners, and Patrícia Pinto, Investor Relations, Sonae Sierra.
The main investment opportunities in each segment of Portuguese real estate will be discussed in the event's various parallel sessions, organised by Abreu Advogados, CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, Deloitte, JLL, Morais Leitão, and Savills.
On the second day of the Portugal Real Estate Summit, 20 September, you will also have the opportunity to attend another parallel session at 9.30am. This will be followed by the session "Portugal, leading destination for foreign direct investment - reindustrialisation!", at 11am. The session includes a joint presentation by CBRE and C&W (Offices, Industrial and Retail) and a presentation of the city of Braga by the Mayor of Braga.
This will be followed by a round table with investors, moderated by Richard Betts, with the presence of Severine Boutel, CEO, Nhood Portugal, Paolo Rosso, Partner, LCN Capital Partners, Antoine Castro, Executive Director of Paref, Fosun Group, and Inés Arellano, Investor Relations, Merlin Properties.
This year, the organisation anticipates a record number of partners and international investors attending. It should be remembered that in 2022, the largest property investment event on the Iberian Peninsula was attended by more than 350 participants, the most attended edition ever.
This meeting is organised by Iberian Property. It once again has the market's main agents as partners.
