Catella Wohen Europa buys 216 homes in Madrid for 23.45 million

The Catella Wohen Europa fund has just strengthened its portfolio of assets in Spain by acquiring a group of 216 dwellings in the Madrid area for 23.45 million euros.

This investment is part of a wider operation of 84.45 million euros, and in the shelter of which the residential area of Catella Real Estate also invested in the purchase of other residential assets in Germany and Holland, strengthening the fund’s portfolio with 650 new homes distributed among these three European markets.

In Germany, a group of 96 business apartments in the centre of Mainz were bought for 13 million euros, as well as another 84 units in St. Augustin (between Bonn and Cologne) for 11 million euros.

Investment in Holland was 37 million euros, in the purchase of 254 homes in Almere, east of Amsterdam.

Managed by Catellas’s residential team in Berlin, the Catella Wohen Europa fund has already invested more than 339.8 million euros up to now. With Germany as its principal focus, the fund works on a strategy of diversity of risk with other investments in Europe, having in its portfolio assets in Spain, the Low Countries and Denmark.
