BLACKSTONE WANT TO CREATE A PLATFORM FOR HOME RENTAL

Blackstone have announced that they want to transform Anticipa, the former real estate platform of Catalunya Caixa, which was acquired in 2014, a platform which manages rented homes through various vehicles.

Currently, Anticipa manages a total portfolio of 7,000 million euros with 12,000 homes for rental or in the process of becoming so in the short term, and have already put on the market a packet of 5,000 units via the  socimi  Albirana, which became part of the housing stock last week. These assets are basically in Madrid and Barcelona and come from the Hercules Project.

Blackstone’s aim is to continue to acquire homes up to a total of  17,000 homes being rented out till the end of the year, which puts its subsidiary as one of the main residential managers in the country, explains  Spanish Real Estate.
