Under the motto "Shopping Centers 4.0", this meeting will bring together more than 1,000 professionals that will address the fundamental pillars on which the shopping centers of the future should be built.
The former minister, economist and businessman, Josep Piqué will be in charge of opening the conferences with an analysis of the Spanish economic situation in the European context.
Among the speakers participating in the XVI Congress of the AECC - chaired by Ismael Clemente, CEO of Merlin Properties - are some of the most important personalities of the real estate sector and the industry of shopping centers and retail parks. The expert in digital transformation, culture and leadership Silvia Leal or the expert in neuromarketing and digital marketing Juan José Delgado, are some of the speakers who, together with some of the most solvent professionals in the sector, complete the program of the conferences.
Among the activities of the Congress will be held the presentation of a study commissioned by the AECC to the consultant Hamilton Global Intelligence on the trends that will set the future of the shopping centers and retail parks. In charge of this presentation will be Sebastián Fernández de Lara, who has conducted the study.
Portugal is the guest country
The Congress will also have another important novelty: the presence of a country invited for the first time in its sixteen editions. This country will be Portugal, which will be present at the conferences through a round table in which some of the most important players of the sector in that country will take part and in the trade fair with its own stand, in which they will present some of the latest and highlighted news of the country. The purpose of inviting Portugal is to consolidate the existing links between both markets in addition to facilitate access for new operators and contacts.
On the other hand, as it has been a tradition, it will be held the XI Trade Fair and Exhibition of Trends and Design, which will occupy an area of about 850 m² and will have approximately 85 stands. The main investors, developers, consultants, suppliers and merchants will participate in it, who will present the new formulas and commercial formats. As in all editions, the Congress will close with the award of the AECC 2018 prizes.
